The United Nations Soccer Club in Europe under the leadership of Mr. Aliamane Bacar-Said was established in Geneva since january 2008 and serve as a liaison office between the UNSC headquarters in New York and UNOSDP office in Geneva. Mr. Bacar-Said also established prosperous contacts with various International sport organizations such as IOC and FIFA in Switzerland. UNSC Europe plays an important role in fostering partnership between our Club and European football stars and some local youth clubs.
During the past 3 years of activities in Europe, Mr. Bacar-Said had visited several countries of the region, made some partnership agreements with local football clubs along the boarders of France and Switzerland in Fernay-Voltaire. He also organized a serie of friendly games between UNOG staff member and local football club under the label of sport for development and peace as a mean of bridging culture and fostering partnership of youth of the region, which in turn improved mutual understanding, team-work and working relations, camaraderie, sportsmanship, friendship and social gathering through sport.
